I will be at the April Meeting. Planning on bringing my Cotton Blossom

Paddlewheeler for its first real "sea trials" The basic outside is now done including the brass and scroll work for the smoke stacks. Have added springs to the string drive to smooth out the action and seems to be working great.

See you at the pond.

Season's Greetings and end year sailing!

Hi all, I would like to extend a warm Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings to all WVRCM skippers.

This past weekend Jay Barnes, Al Stiewing and I ventured over to Mesa MYC for a 36/600 tune-up regatta attended by 8 skippers. Al began with a borrowed Scottsdale 36 from Jay which unfortunately leaked enough to be a problem and Jay forgot his FM radio but Dennis Desprois, generous as ever, loaned his boat to Jay and then Al while he did RD and boat launch rescue duty. Al is hooked on 36's and ...

Scheduling more Scale Meets

Hi, I am Art Burkette and I would like to propose more Scale meets to augment the Sail Meets. I also could approach the association board here at Sun Village about having a scale ...

Some users of my adjustable vang (See SeaWind Express issue #7, Mark II version) have experienced pull out of the threaded rod or screw from the plastic rod ends. We find that the hole in the rod ends is variable in diameter so that some screws fit snuggly while others are loose. Filling the holes with epoxy was recommended but we find that the epoxy does not adhere strongly enough to the plastic and can still pull out. If you have this problem it can be fixed with a dab of CA glue in the hole ...
