Hi all, I would like to extend a warm Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings to all WVRCM skippers.
This past weekend Jay Barnes, Al Stiewing and I ventured over to Mesa MYC for a 36/600 tune-up regatta attended by 8 skippers. Al began with a borrowed Scottsdale 36 from Jay which unfortunately leaked enough to be a problem and Jay forgot his FM radio but Dennis Desprois, generous as ever, loaned his boat to Jay and then Al while he did RD and boat launch rescue duty. Al is hooked on 36's and is busy repairing the leaks for the next outing.
Sunday at Sun City there were 11 boats out with some excellent competitive racing in very shifty conditions. Al, Peter Jennings and Dennis Poole are all getting very closely competitive.
Looking forward to some great 1-MS/SW and 36/600 events this next quarter and hope to see you all on the pond in 2008.
